The Details: Tears of Joy Packets

I ALWAYS cry at weddings. It's a horribly embarrassing problem. It's just so amazing to see some of your friends finally find the person that they are supposed to be with for the rest of their lives. For this reason, I've decided to do "Tears of Joy" packets.

For those of you that have no clue what I mean, it's just a little packet of tissues that is in pretty packaging that usually says "For Your Tears of Joy" on them, and are handed to mothers, fathers, grandmothers and anyone who might look a bit sniffly right before the ceremony.

I was in Michaels the other day (and probably every day since we got engaged, haha!), and I ran across these adorable little velum envelopes with the word "Love" on them, and I thought that they were perfect for this task. At $4.99 for 20 of them, and armed with my 20% off coupon, I also picked up a box of Kleenex, and set to work making them.

I was able to put about 3 tissues in each little box, which is probably overkill, but seriously when you need a tissue, you don't want to be suddenly out! Here's a photo of one about to be completed, and one that's all ready to go:

This isn't really a big DIY, because all I did was put some tissues in a little box, but it was cute, and not very expensive, and saved me from getting too-diy on certain things that only I'll remember. Are there any items that you've decided to "sort-of diy" to save yourself from the craziness that a DIY wedding can be?
