Menu - Charleston Style!

Today, we booked our caterer after much research (and reading of reviews!), and are happy to announce that the Crazy Dutchman Catering will be serving a delicious spread at our big day. From the very beginning, Hans, the owner was fantastic to work with, and I felt completely comfortable handing over the details of our very important day! They were recommended by our venue, and one thing that really enhanced my sense of comfort was that they knew my venue so well. I also enjoyed their fairly straightforward set up of items, while still retaining an elegance to it. Here's a few photos to show what I mean:

One of the most important things I've focused on during this process was "how do I want to feel on my wedding day". I ask Silas this question, probably too much, haha. I knew that I wanted the ceremony to be serious and heartfelt, but that the reception needed to be a time for laughing, catching up with old friends, and being stress free. We wanted the food and atmosphere to reflect that, so we ended up going with stations around the room!

Without further ado, we've set the menu!
  • Fresh Cut Fruit Tray
  • Veggie Tray with Homemade Ranch Dipping Sauce
  • Assorted Cheese & Cracker Tray
  • Fresh Salad Greens with Balsamic Vinaigrette
  • Fresh Tomato and Basil Bruschetta on Garlic Toasted Crostini
  • Angus Beef Sliders
  • Sliced Ham on Sweet Potato Biscuits with Crazy Dutchman Mustard
  • Mini Crab Cakes with Creole Remoulade
  • Cider Pulled Pork Sliders
  • and last, but certainly not least! a Mashed Potato Bar!
Crazy Dutchman will also be handling our bar service, but that's another post! Stay tuned for more details!
